The exceptional quality prints of the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 is attributed to the newly developed Lucia Pro Ink and combination of colours utilised. This unique 12-ink pigment-based system delivers an expanded colour gamut, smooth gradations and greater expression in dark areas. Comparing the colour gamut to the highly acclaimed PIXMA PRO-1, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 will deliver a colour volume rate of 110% of the PIXMA PRO-1 on Lustre Paper and up to 119% on Matte Papers, showing true versatility by delivering exceptional results on all media types.

The LUCIA PRO inks include a photo black, matt black, grey and photo grey, which ensure professional-quality monochrome prints with increased black density and dynamic range compared to existing PIXMA PRO and Canon Large Format Printers.

The specialised Chroma Optimizer ink is included to ensure that bumps between the ink droplets are minimised and users will achieve uniform glossiness. This regulates the surface reflection to keep colours natural in prints and prevents a bronzing effect.

Silicon oil has been added to the new LUCIA PRO ink to improve abrasion resistance. This helps prevent the printed surface from being scratched, which makes it easier to print out in large volumes, carry and exhibit printed matter.

Highly regarded by professionals in the graphic arts industry, the LUCIA EX 12 colour pigment ink system allows you to create very accurate colour proofs for pre-press purposes. The ink system is also valued by photographers due to the ability to print faithful reproductions of their prized images with vivid colours and neutral mid-tones and it also enables improved scratch resistance for smoother finishing and movement of output, once printing has completed.

Canon's LUCIA pigment inks combine the glossiness of dye ink with the vivid colors and weather resistance of pigment ink. For the 12 LUCIA pigment inks, in addition to CMY ink colors, Canon developed special complementary RGB colors (complementary color relationship) and two shades of gray, realizing an expanded range which enables greater overall balance. With LUCIA, vivid colors can now be achieved on a variety of media types, including glossy paper.

The new LUCIA EX pigment ink system increased the color reproduction range by up to 20% by using more vivid pigments for all 12 colors and through the use of pigments with a variety of particle diameters. Furthermore, Canon have successfully produced a dark black using an ink design for raising the grade of black in order to meet the demand for high image quality from professional photographers and creators. By also improving ink materials, we successfully reduced bronzing and improved rubfastness.

These Canon 330ml black ink tanks are designed for large volume printing and employ a tubing system that allows ink to be supplied continuously from the ink tank to the printhead. It is compatible with Canon imagePROGRAF models listed.
